The blogging world is ever growing. I love this and I truly believe that there’s room for more. Everyone should have their own little space to write down their thoughts. Whether it’s on a blog or in a journal. I thought it would be cute to share my story on becoming a blogger.
It was years ago. Back when white backgrounds and flat lays weren’t even a thing. Back before the world learnt how to contour. I must of been around 14 when I started out. It was something that my sister mentioned to me. I remember her saying to me “It will be cool”. She’d recently read a blog and she wanted to see what it was all about. She asked me if I wanted to start a blog together.
All my life I’ve looked up to her, so when she wanted to share a blog with me ofcourse I said yes. I didn’t even know what a blog was. We named it “Times2Style” and it was a beauty and fashion blog.
We took turns writing posts. Taking photos. Getting inspiration. I think one of my first posts was a nail tutorial using sweets? It kind of makes me cringe now but that’s how my blogging journey began. Me and my sister continued to blog together for a good while. I remember loving it from day one but I was young and got distracted so I ended up leaving Rachel (my sister) to run the blog on her own.
After a while I made my own blog called “Style Storms” and then I changed it to “Lust for Beauty”. Which hence the name was a beauty blog. After blogging for over 2 years or so, I feel in love with lifestyle posts. Which explains changing my blog name to “Life of Amy”.
Now, this brings us to my present day blogging journey. My writing skills have improved vastly and my photo’s are getting to where I want them to be. I’m attending a hell of a lot more events than I ever did and I’ve met so many wonderful bloggers. Me and Rachel actually still attend blogger events together. It’s great to have a sister who’s also blogging. I almost forgot one of my other sisters is blogging as well now guys!!! Eeek. 3 out of 4 sisters blogging, how amazing is that?
Some of my favourite events have been –
I often wonder what would have happened if me and Rachel continued to run our blog together. I guess I’ll never know but I don’t think I’ll ever look back from blogging now. Aside from the occasional blogging break, I couldn’t imagine not being a blogger.
I’m thankful for each view/comment/follower that I receive. I’m thankful for each and every opportunity I’ve had. That’s my story behind becoming a blogger and now I want to hear about yours! I’m really interested and I may actually write a post using your answers.
